Summary

This position conducts work directly related to management or general business operations in an organization or functional area. The work requires advanced knowledge gained from a prolonged course of specialized instruction, experience, and expertise. The position includes work requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.

Scope

As an entry level position, this role develops Payroll Accounting knowledge and ability to maintain a set of pay statements for an employee. This position performs basic payroll activities such as employee separations, international banking, withholding applicable taxes, foreign payrolls taxes, government audits, labor recons, relocations and more.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze employee information, banking and taxes and employer tax liabilities and recon banking issues

  • Payroll labor laws in foreign countries and domestic laws by state

  • Payroll State, County and local tax laws domestically for employee and employer

  • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines

  • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines

  • Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff

  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards

  • Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies

  • Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job

  • May need to travel to attend to business related matters

  • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality

  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education or experience in business/finance preferred

  • Demonstrated basic knowledge in the use of PC-based business applications and sufficient skills to learn to use automated payroll/accounting/business applications

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good leadership and decision-making skills

People * Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent. * Train, coach, and develop associates using company programs, tools, and resources. * Create an environment that inspires and encourages the growth and engagement of associates. * Establish professional brand partner relationships that foster a shared interest in collaboratively delivering on sales and service goals. * Promote a culture of service excellence amongst the leadership team by sharing best practices, establishing priorities, and providing support. Process * Be knowledgeable of, and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards. * Use the company's scheduling tool as directed to adjust schedules and manage attendance in-the-moment during manager-on-duty shifts to ensure accurate schedules and reporting. * Use the company's task management tool as directed to prioritize and execute store workload, including product and marketing resets, pricing updates, inventory related tasks, cleaning, and replenishment. * Protect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are met, including workplace safety, inventory control, and loss prevention. * Support continuous improvement by implementing company programs and influencing end-user adoption.
