NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Payments Practice Lead to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).
A Practice Lead acts as the subject matter expert and thought leadership advocate for NTT DATA Services, responsible for developing, managing, and expanding the practice providing industry expertise to both internal and external leaders. The Practice Lead has a deep knowledge of their area of expertise and uses this to help develop strategic solutions for the clients, working with our FSI sales and client leaders. This person will network with industry leaders, internal FSI sales and client leadership, current clients, and potential clients to understand and communicate current and future trends. The Practice Lead becomes a critical aspect of the sales pursuit process, working with FSI sales and client leaders to create presentations and proposal responses demonstrating NTT DATA Services capabilities and expertise to meet client needs. A Practice Lead is a full time salaried employee that can travel up to 75% representing NTT DATA Services in the area of expertise for current and potential clients. Currently, we serve 40 of the leading financial services and insurance firms in North America, leveraging our Consulting expertise with our Delivery capabilities, and supporting through Value Added Services.
The Payments Practice Lead will provide hands-on domain expertise as a billable leader on critical projects. S/he will also develop and lead the Payments practice within FSI Consulting for NTT DATA Services to grow our FSI Consulting brand and partnership. This will involve developing/enhancing consulting offerings based on SME and NTT DATA's point-of view on evolving trends in payments.
For this role at this time we would place primary emphasis on skills in Payments. Additional expertise is required in Card, Retail Banking and Wholesale Banking in conjunction with strong understanding of Banking industry as a whole.
Practice Leads have overall SME and go-to-market responsibility for their Consulting area of expertise:
Identify market trends, priorities, and understand the competitor landscape to provide insight and education to FSI sales and client leadership
Partner with sales and client teams on account strategy and offering planning
Scoping and lead the delivery of payments advisory, operations & technology solution design work and supporting and guiding junior team members and assist with mobilization as needed
Identify and review opportunities and prioritize activities to optimize realization of pipeline
Support and coach FSI Consulting advisory and delivery teams as required
Leveraging skills and experience to support the development of proposals and marketing propositions
Drive client solutioning for FSI sales pursuits in the practice area
Understand the business challenge, client objectives and develops solutions "backwards" from deliverables
Formulate the solution based on expertise in practice area and NTT DATA Services capabilities
Identify the value proposition and differentiators for NTT DATA Services
Represent NTT DATA Services in industry conferences and forums
Drive thought leadership in practice area (blogs, points of view, formal campaigns, etc.)
Participate in webinars, summits, media interviews, etc. representing FSI Consulting and practice area
Develop practice area collateral, offerings, supporting materials and intellectual property and communicate with sales and client teams
Proven ability to drive Payments thought leadership agenda on an ongoing basis
Proven ability to contribute to new business development efforts
Possesses aptitude to identify strategic solutions to business problems with enterprise-wide implications
Experience working with senior business partners and C-level clients identifying trends, communicating competitive actions, and presenting strategic implications in Banking
Technology conversant and aware of major technology trends in the Financial Services industry
Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate effectively along vertical and horizontal planes internally and in client organizations
Strong program & project management skills
Experience creating thought leadership and white papers and presenting in this area of expertise
Bachelor's degree required
