Cadman is seeking a qualified Paving Supervisor who will utilize all available resources to supervise heavy highway and public works asphalt paving jobs. The Supervisor also ensures that these projects are completed safely, efficiently and within budget.
This position will reside in Redmond, WA.
What You'll Get to Do:
Comply, understand, and support corporate safety policies to ensure a safe work environment.
Assist Estimators with job bids to ensure comprehensive and accurate bids.
Direct and motivate paving and traffic control teams, and subcontractors, for the various projects. Have daily communication to monitor progress, schedule, costs and resources. Suggest or recommend any potential cost savings measures.
Plan and coordinate paving schedules with the Construction Manager, project's owners and with Cadman's HMA Plants.
Schedules and coordinates resources needed to complete the job with the appropriate departments, subcontractors, and outside agencies.
Work with the Environmental and Safety Departments to ensure all laws and regulations are met. Establish, lead, and maintain safe working environments for all.
Work with the construction Project Manager and Construction Manager to monitor job costs and modify methods and resource when necessary to stay within budgets.
Maintains a positive working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
Communicate with Project Manager and Construction Manager on progress, schedules, and other various issues.
What we are looking for:
Prior experience with job bidding and cost analysis a must
2+ years of supervisor experience in asphalt paving or road construction
2+ years of experience working with WASDOT preferred
Solid communications skills, both oral and written
Solid computer skills including, including Microsoft Office and estimating software.
