Job incumbent oversees Paul Williams House and SMI Case Manager, assisting the seriously mentally ill adults in the community with financial management, assistance in locating housing, activities of daily living, medical and mental health appointments and with other providers and agencies. Job incumbent provides clinical and administrative supervision to PWH staff, directs the provision of services at the PWH house, and completes assessments and/or psychotherapy for residents.
Duties: Essential Functions: This list is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by incumbent(s). Representative Duties: Under general supervision of the Deputy Behavioral Health Director, job incumbent: 1.
Responsible for collaborating with Tanana Chiefs Conference staff to ensure high quality service to residents of Paul Williams House and outpatient SMI clients. 2. Provides administrative and clinical supervision to Paul Williams House staff 3. Provides integrated assessment and therapy to clients of PWH. 4.
Assists clients in keeping appointments with mental health and health providers including transportation and medication monitoring. 5. Manages the daily operations of Paul Williams House including assisting clients in activities of daily living, including shopping for food and personal items, recreational and social activities. 6. Obtains financial support, manage client money (SSI and APA) to insure basic needs are met, including arrangement of conservation, if appropriate. 7.
Assists clients in finding housing. 8. Maintains clinical and administrative records as needed according to policy. 9. Coordinates with other mental health, health, and social service providers (e.g.
FCMHC, APH, FMH, FCC) who may provide services to clients, including discharge planning and aftercare. 10. Provides referral and assistance for hospital admission, court hearings, and involuntary commitment. 11. Assists in hiring, supervising, and evaluating Paul Williams House staff.
Meets regularly with PWH staff to monitor quality and quantity of work, and adherence to TCC & Clinical Manual policies and procedures. Assures 24-hour staff coverage of Paul Williams House. 12. Arranges in-service training for staff supervised.
Assists in developing training plans for further needed skills in relevant areas. Other Responsibilities:

1. Master's degree in accounting, business administration, health administration, counseling, social work or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Licensure required. 2.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with seriously mentally ill patients required. 3. Familiarity with Alaska Native cultures and rural lifestyles required. 4.
Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record. 5. Must pass background check pursuant to Alaska DHSS and federal Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act requirements. Supervision: This position supervises Paul Williams House staff and SMI Case managers.
