As a Treatment Coordinator - Assistant with our practice, you will be responsible for assisting the orthodontist with initial consultations and chair side assisting when necessary.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a team environment, have a "can do" personality, and be able to complete their assigned work in a timely fashion. In addition to the role of Treatment Coordinator, this position will include the responsibilities of the Office Safety Coordinator and Orthodontic Assistant if chair side coverage is necessary. You must display open communication to patients and co-workers and have a commitment to patient satisfaction.
Understand and demonstrate proper sterilization, biohazard and infection control procedures in compliance with protocol.
Demonstrate complete knowledge of orthodontic terminology, instruments, maintenance, and proper tray setups.
Perform all chairside procedures efficiently.
Efficiently direct patient flow through teamwork and communication.
Understand and have the ability to communicate orthodontic insurance benefits to patients
Uphold a positive rapport with patients at all times and display timely follow to patient questions.
Demonstrate safe and cost effective practices when utilizing supplies and equipment.
Assist office in achieving defined goals through the consultation process.
Willingness and ability to work in 2 locations on a weekly basis.
One year certified dental assistant program; or
Six months on-the-job experience as a treatment coordinator
High school diploma and demonstrated ability to assume dental assistant responsibilities.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of dental records and documentation.
Ability to perform basic computer functions.
Comply with protocols and standards.
Exercise knowledge of dental instruments and terminology.
