Full Time Days

Schedule: 7:0apm

  • 7:00pm, 3 12 hour shifts per week. Days of the week vary with every other weekend rotation.

Location: NGMC Gainesville Medical Mobile Unit

Department Scope:

The Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) is a 20-bed nursing unit with all private rooms. As a medical unit, care is provided for a wide variety of illnesses, including but not limited to:

COVID-19 positive patients and symptomatic persons under investigation (PUI)

  • Respiratory Treatments

  • Medical Inpatients

  • COVID-19 Posit

Job Summary:

Transports patients to their in-patient bed and/or to and from other areas such as therapy, surgery or radiology. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Reports to a Supervisor or Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must have Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association

  • Previous experience in patient care setting preferred but not required

NGHS The Medical Transport shift supervisor insures that emergency and non-emergency patient transportation and associated communication is performed professionally and efficiently. The scope of services provided by direct reports includes treatment and transportation of patients requiring ambulance service, mental health transportation, wheelchair van transportation, and emergency medical communications. The supervisor monitors daily transportation status in regard to asset accountability to insure that clinical needs nor patient length of stay are compromised. In addition to these primary responsibilities the supervisor must continuously assess staff morale and implement or recommend measures that promote teamwork and "can do" spirit. Georgia Licensed Paramedic Preferred experience or training in supervision or leadership 5 years experience as a paramedic on an ambulance.
