Attention Medical Transportation Drivers in the Kansas City area.

Midland Care Transportation Specialists transport elderly participants for our PACE program to and from appointments, the Day Center and their homes. The Transportation Specialists assist participants in and out of the vehicle and the building they are going to. The primary transportation driven is a bus, though it may also include a van or car on occasion.

Midland Cares Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is a not-for-profit health care program that helps people at risk for needing nursing home care who meet a level of care requirement stay in their own homes and communities.

Pay Rate: $17 (Salary is based on like experience/requirements)

Employment Status: Full-Time 8am-5pm Monday-Friday

Requirements:

Must possess a valid Kansas or Missouri Drivers License (within 30 days of hire for out of state licenses), current automobile liability insurance and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organizations insurability standard as defined by Midland policy. These must be current at hire and remain in effect throughout employment. Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical and drug screen. Must continue to pass these throughout employment. Must have a current DOT physical at all times. Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position. Due to insurance company requirements, must be 25 years of age or older.

Preferred:

  • Prior driving experience.

  • One year of experience working with a frail (elderly or disabled) population.
