Requisition Number: 18-82787 Date posted: 07/02/2018 Shift: 1 Work Schedule: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; Rotating Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Responsible for coordination and oversight of activities of Patient Service Center within the assigned area. Interrelates with the Patient Service Center staff, supervisor and management, as well as the laboratory staff and clients to ensure optimal operation of the Patient Service Center. Performs all tasks in accordance with LabCorp's Safety and Integrity Programs and company policies. Performs phlebotomy and specimen processing procedures at LabCorp Patient Service Centers under minimal supervision. Skill and comprehension level required for this category: Phlebotomy certification (where required) from an accredited agency, completion of an approved phlebotomy training course, or equivalent experience through previous employment. Minimum of two years verifiable phlebotomy experience. Exhibit proficiency in all of the following: blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups, urine drug screen collections, paternity collections, breath/saliva alcohol testing, LCM/Cyber Tools, TestCup, pediatric blood collections, difficult draws (patients in long-term care facilities, drug rehabilitation facilities, prisons, psychiatric facilities, or similar facilities). Has comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety, and is able to effectively communicate the importance of compliance and safety to other employees. Possess the ability and skills necessary to provide orientation and training for patient service technicians.


License/Certification/Education: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent w/1-3 years experience. Meet all state and local requirements for Phlebotomy. Normally requires a Valid Driver's License along with a clean driving record.


Schedule7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; Rotating Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Responsible for scheduling personnel so all shifts are covered and overtime is minimized. Collaborates with the VP on hiring, disciplinary action, termination, counseling, and annual reviews of personnel in department on all three shifts. Responsible for ordering and maintaining the Operating Room's inventory of custom packs and Sterile Processing's single use and re-usable supply inventory via established material's management pathways. Coordinates the department quality assurance process. Coordinates with customers all activities and issues relative to the sterile process and SPD patient care equipment inventory. Serves as a department Preceptor and coordinates department in-service and continuing education protocols. Demonstrates ability to function independently and use good judgment. JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. The qualified candidate is a high school graduate or equivalent, a graduate of an accredited Central Service Technician or Surgical Technology course. 2. Maintains current certification by Association of Surgical Technologist or the International Association of Health Care Central Service Materials Management registry body. 3. Demonstrates a working knowledge in the use of the department's computer systems. 4.
