Traveling between 4 5 offices measuring, ordering, and dispensing Therapeutic footwear. Verifying benefits, calculating co-insurance and communicating the information to the patient.
Responsible for obtaining and managing all Medicare compliance documents and ensuring everything is correct and placed in the medical record prior to dispensing diabetic shoes.
The 1st go to person for any issues or concerns regarding patients diabetic shoes or orders. Contacts patients when shoes/inserts have arrived or if unable to obtain signed documentation from the MD/DO. Contacts the MD/DO regarding the need or proper completion of signed compliance documents required by Medicare.
Keeping up with orders in the office waiting for dispensing, as well as alerts, and incomplete statuses in Surefit. Making sure the patient and the DPM are informed of the statuses of all orders.
Scheduling appointments for measurements and dispensing.
Address follow-up appointments, fitting issues, returns and exchanges. Return phone calls as needed.
Work closely with the front and back office staff in each location. Ensures billing codes and diagnoses are correct on the encounter form and matches the DPM evaluation note.
Responsible for scanning all completed compliance documents for Diabetic Shoes.
Responsible for assisting billing in obtaining necessary documents for Diabetic Shoe audits.
Assisting back office staff when needed.
Assists in identification of potential candidates for therapeutic footwear and Vascular testing.
Performing vascular testing in 4 - 5 different offices.
Providing results and referral information regarding vascular testing.
