This is a combined posting for an Associate Patient Services Specialist, Patient Services Specialist, and Senior Patient Services Specialist. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title.

Under the direction of the PAS manager, the Associate Patient Access Representative is responsible for assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits as well as collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, and collecting patient liability (if known) at the time of service. This individual is also responsible for financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts during registration.

In addition, this individual is responsible for miscellaneous client service activities including valuables collection and providing basic customer service. The Associate Patient Access Representative greets and serves patients in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive encounters.

Under the direction of the PAS manager, the Senior Patient Access Representative has a clear understanding and knowledge of all functions performed by Patient Access. They are responsible for but not limited to assisting patients during the registration process for scheduled and unscheduled visits.

This individual has the knowledge to complete the registration process by collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, obtain prior authorizations as needed, insurance notifications, complete the financial clearance and collect patient liability (if known) before or at the time of service. In addition, this individual is responsible for miscellaneous client service activities including valuables collection and providing basic customer service. The Senior Patient Access Representative greets and serves patients in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive encounters. The Senior Patient Access Representative should serve as a functional expert for department peers.

Associate Patient Services Specialist

$1,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible rehire and external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years Registration experience.

  • Experience with Epic system.

Associate Patient Services Specialist, Salary Range:

Min: $13.39, Max: $20.46

Patient Services Specialist

$1,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible rehire and external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 year Healthcare experience within Patient Access of Business office setting. Experience with insurance eligibility systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree Healthcare or Business Administration.
  • 1 year Knowledge of Epic Applications

Patient Services Specialist, Salary Range:

Min: $14.51, Max: $22.17

Senior Patient Services Specialist

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years Healthcare experience within Patient Access or Business office setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree

  • Bachelor's Degree Healthcare or Business Administration.

  • Certification as a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) by the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), or related certification.

Senior Patient Services Specialist, Salary Range:

Min: $15.82, Max: $24.68
