Responsibilities

Encompass Health

  • Hospice division is searching for an experienced medical scheduler and LPN to join our team as a Patient Services Coordinator.

Hours: Monday

  • Friday, 8:00am

  • 5:00pm

Location: 499 Gloster Creek, Tupelo, MS 38801

  • Scheduling home visits for the field staff each day and assisting with the coordination of patient care.

  • Accumulating admissions and intake information.

  • Communicating with physicians about orders and patient progress information.

  • Ensuring geographic scheduling to reduce drive time and to enhance staff satisfaction and patient care.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) that excels in a fast paced environment with exceptional customer services skills.

  • LPN required.

  • At least 1 year of patient scheduling experience is required.

  • A minimum of 1 year of hospice experience is strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of staffing and scheduling requirements related to home health.

  • Previous experience working with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Disinfects surfaces with provided chemicals. * Dusts and polishes furniture and fittings, vents, window sills, and ledges. * Cleans reception glass and entrance windows. * Moves chairs/stools, waste/linen/biohazardous bins, small equipment on wheels, scales, and other items for proper cleaning. Realigns items according to recommended layout. * Cleans floors including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming. Performs carpet spot cleaning and upholstery spot cleaning. * Collects and disposes of general trash and biohazardous waste. Performs routine cleaning on general trash and biohazardous waste containers. * Replenishes soap, sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, and other items. * Maintains equipment, tools and storage areas in clean and orderly operating condition. * Works with alarm systems to arm and disarm. * Performs other duties as assigned.
