We invite you to join our Northridge Diagnostic Center team as a Patient Service Representative. This part-time medical front office career opportunity will have a weekend schedule, and is located at our outpatient practice in Reseda, CA. In this medical receptionist position you'll get to:

  • Answer phones and greet incoming patients and visitors.

  • Perform patient registration and insurance verification, and collect co-pays.

  • Guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns.

  • Coordinate with office staff for timely care of patients.

  • Cross-train and help as needed in other departments (i.e. scheduling, medical records, etc.).

  • May on occasion travel to our nearby centers to receive training and/or help with coverage.

  • Participate in various projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.

The Director of Patient Care Services is the executive who leads the clinical aspects of the program and is responsible for the overall successful delivery of care to those we serve. We look forward to you joining our family. * Lena Beker, Founder POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for a full-time Director of Patient Care Services of our hospice program. The DPCS is in charge of the clinical aspects of the program and serves as the conduit between the Administrator, clinical staff, patients, families and members of the community. The DPCS reports directly to the Administrator. The DPCS supervises the clinical staff, including team managers, contracted services, on-call and continuous care staff and also assists in the hiring and retention of staff. The DPCS creates and implements a Quality Assurance program; participates in staff training and assures qualified clinical staff is hired; ensures that only eligible patients are admitted and received hospice care; assumes lead responsibly for patient advocacy and carries out the organization's mission, goals, objectives and policies and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with baccalaureate or higher degree in nursing or another health-related filed. * Three years of experience within the last five years in a hospice or home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility, at least on year of which was in the supervisory or administrative capacity OR Four years' experience within the last five years in hospice, home health agency, primary care clinic or health faciality, at least one year of which was in a supervisory or administrative capacity. * Demonstrates high level of competency in performance of professional nursing functions. * Ability to plan, organize, delegate and manage effectively and efficiently. * Ability to make effective decisions under time pressure. * Ability to supervise and evaluate staff. * Knowledge of regulatory and financial aspects of the hospice program. * Excellent communication and personation skills. * Ability to read, write and follow directions and get others to follow directions. * Ability to interact professionally and effectively with staff, members of the public and patients and families. * Valid driver's license, and auto insurance, reliable/well maintained transportation. * Able to utilize computers and be comfortable with EMR.
