We invite you to join our Resolution Advanced Imaging Center team as a Patient Service Representative. This full-time medical front office career opportunity will have a Monday -- Friday 8:00am -- 4:30pm schedule, and is located at our outpatient practice in Santa Monica, CA. In this medical receptionist position you'll get to:

  • Answer phones and greet incoming patients and visitors.

  • Perform patient registration and insurance verification, and collect co-pays.

  • Guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns.

  • Coordinate with office staff for timely care of patients.

  • Cross-train and help as needed in other departments (i.e. scheduling, medical records, etc.).

  • Participate in various projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications Required: * Experience working in a health care setting * Demonstrated knowledge of major medical insurance plans and types of coverage provided * Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities * Ability to establish and maintain and productive working relationships with Faculty, Staff, Administration and patients from various social, cultural and economic backgrounds * Ability to creatively integrate competing demands into a productive working environment * Skill in verbal communications to clearly convey complex problems in both formal and informal situations * Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with a patient population in varying degrees of health Preferred: * Working knowledge of patient related policies and procedures as well as a thorough understanding of the University system and it services and programs * Knowledge of hospital computer system, and personal computer systems and the various software products to perform administrative work * Familiarity and knowledge of authorization process & managed care programs * Knowledge of specific specialty practice and workflows UCLA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
