Bilingual Patient Services Representative
Hourly Pay Range: $15.00 - $19.00

Charter Oak Health Center is seeking employment of a Patient Services Representative who is eager to work in a diverse environment. This person must be friendly, a people person and willing to ensure that the organizational compliance needs are met. The Patient Services Representative must believe in the mission and vision of Charter Oak Health Center in order to deliver top customer service.
The primary role of the Patient Service Representative is to provide a full range of administrative support for registration of patients, verifying identification and eligibility, billing patients, scheduling appointments, triaging phone calls from patients and maintaining patient and business confidentiality to ensure the needs of the internal and external customers are met.
Essential Position Duties
Provide smooth and timely flow of patients in accordance with the COHC patient flow guidelines responding to high volumes of patients in short-term time spans.
Demonstrate, understand and perform triage activities for all walk-in patients and medical phone inquiries.
Provides efficient, accurate and timely medical secretarial support in order to facilitate patient flow.
Assists with scheduling office visits, obtaining prior authorizations for treatment (as needed), and triaging phone calls from patients, physicians, insurance companies and pharmacies.
Maintain confidentiality of all information and supporting patients' privacy, rights, and safety.

Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated effective customer service skills along with proper telephone etiquette.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software and basic computer skills.
Able to efficiently function in fast paced work environment.
Bilingual (English and Spanish) Skill Preferred
Professional Experience/Educational Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent GED.
Diploma from an accredited medical assistant program required
