Responsible for maintaining the sanitation of patient rooms, ancillary areas and nursing stations.
The Representative acts as a liaison with Environmental Services and Nursing Personnel.
The Representative is a reference person with assigned patients.
Cleans and supplies patient's rooms, nursing stations, nourishment areas, lounges, baths, toilets, offices, conference rooms, utility rooms, and/or other areas assigned by the Environmental Services and Linen Supervisor on a daily basis.
Dusts all horizontal surfaces that collect dust. Damp wipe all furniture, shelves, counters, and ledges in assigned areas.
Cleans and polishes metal and porcelain fixtures using appropriate cleaners.
Empties waste containers and removes trash to central collection point.
Spot cleans walls and interior of windows using proper chemicals.
Fills paper towel dispensers, and toilet paper dispensers.
Dust mops floors in non-carpeted areas or vacuums floors in carpeted areas. Wet mops floors.
Performs check-out cleaning involving: stripping patient beds of linen, washing bed following standard procedure, cleaning immediate area, retrieving necessary linens from linen area on floor to remake bed and make bed, and furnishes clean towels and washcloths.
High school diploma or GED required.
Some experience preferred may be obtained with on-the-job training or previous satisfactory experience in
Environmental Services and/or Dietary.
Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow employees.
Knowledge of proper body mechanics for transporting and making occupied beds.
Must be service oriented.
