As a Patient Service Representative Lead, you will be working directly with our team of PSRs at the front desk to ensure maximum efficiency and quality of care for our patients. This position will oversee all Patient Service Representative functions and will report to the Assistant Site Operations Director.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as back-up for all front office staff.

  • Greets public, staff, and others in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Checks patients in/out and updates patient demographics timely and accurately.

  • Verifies and updates registration and payor information at every patient visit.

  • Determines insurance, Medicaid and Medicare eligibility.

  • Accepts payments and deposits, issues receipts, deposits to lock box, and supervises journal close while ensuring accounts are balanced daily.

  • Posts patient charges and payments as appropriate.

  • Performs scanning and proper electronic filing of documents as necessary.

  • Responsible for leading PSR meetings when appropriate.

  • Creates and manages PSR schedule.

  • Assures all PSR staff maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate high quality customer care.

  • In the absence of site management will fill-in as requested.

  • Responsible for training of all new front office staff.

  • Oversees secure messaging for non-clinical inbox.

  • Maintains front office supplies as needed.

  • All HealthLinc staff is committed to engage in quality improvement initiatives that align with and support Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH).

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
