Our physician led medical group enjoys an excellent reputation with patients and the medical community, offering primary care, urgent care and more than 30 different specialties.

Job Description

Responsible for providing outstanding and professional customer service to ensure efficiency and promote a positive patient experience. Warmly greets and registers arriving patients.

Answers incoming calls promptly and professionally, evaluates priority, and directs calls appropriately according to urgency and subject matter. Schedules new patient appointments accurately, and informs patients of essential preparation requirements prior to visit. Reviews daily Televox report of appointment confirmations to ensure accurate schedule and appropriate communications with patients.

Collects co-payments and office charges as needed and explains office payment billing policies to patients. Ensures patients have a comfortable and inviting environment by maintaining a clean waiting room, actively removing trash and keeping magazines current at the start of each session and throughout the day.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Relevant experience in a fast-paced medical office highly preferred.

Epic experience preferred.

Positive, customer-focused approach, with commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple competing tasks and demands.

Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate in other languages highly desirable.

Strong computer skills. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Basic working knowledge of medical terminology.

Ability to travel independently to satellite offices with or without advanced notice.

Strong working knowledge of insurance requirements.

We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work sites, and schools and colleges. We offer over 30 outpatient locations with a variety of specialists, including oncology, women's health, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language, we are known for our commitment to high quality, customer focused outcomes. Position Description Monday – Friday, possible Saturdays. Hours vary 7am-7pm. Travel may be required to other locations as coverage needs arise. Patient Service Representative (PSR) is responsible for the smooth operations of all the front desk/reception area functions as well as other administrative/clerical duties within outpatient office. Responsibilities include but are not limited to overall customer service, patient registration, scheduling and insurance verification. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required to be successful in this role. Reports to Manager. High school diploma or equivalent required. Travel to various locations required. Evening shift coverage required, up to 7pm. Morning shift coverage required as early as 7am. Highly Preferred: Medical office experience, advanced secretarial education, knowledge of medical terminology and third party billing/reimbursement. Critical Success Factors: Exemplary customer service skills. Excellent interpersonal written and verbal skills are required. Ability to work and handle a fast paced diversified working environment. Requires effective organizational and interpersonal skills needed for anticipating and reacting to various needs of both patients and medical personnel.
