JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Patient Service Associate to coordinate and participate in a variety of duties associated with daily clinic preparation process, patient identification, patient check in/out, collect and post payments and patient appointment scheduling. Position also involves customer service, message distribution, obtain and verify insurance information and scheduling.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance data during the check in process. Collect and post co-payments and balances on accounts due.
  
  Assist with walk in requests. Obtain and scan COA/ HIPPA/Medicare documents to the patient's charts. Check-out patients and schedule follow ups as needed.
  
  Coordinate all labs/procedures as requested. Follow correct process for patients obtaining prescriptions, forms, and other patient documents. Daily closing of cash drawer.

• Answer phones, transfer call and send messages. Use Jabber when necessary.

• Process faxes and distribute accordingly.

• Scanning.

• Other duties as assigned mail, all Maestro Care In-Basket requests includes (appointments, prescription, staff messages) maintenance of the lobby, restocking supplies).

• Process medical records.

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally acquired through high school education.

• Minimum of one year of work experience in directly communicating and providing service to patients or public; preferably in a healthcare related field. Experience in effectively coordinating multiple tasks or activities.

JOB HOURS

The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
