The Patient Safety and Accreditation Specialist serves as a liaison and provides support to the Patient Safety and Accreditation Programs at Regions Hospital. This includes:

  • participating and coordinating committees related to patient safety, accreditation and quality improvement as assigned

  • conducting patient or clinical systems tracers and on-going rounding

  • conducting proactive risk and safety assessments to identify opportunities of improvement in patient safety preventive measures and mitigation of adverse events

  • monitoring and evaluating patient safety and accreditation trends and follow through on action plans and activities addressing areas of non-compliance

  • collaborating in the development of patient safety tools and collecting, analyzing and reporting data from interventions

  • providing informal education on patient safety and accreditation program initiatives

  • coordinating and independently managing routine meetings for the team

  • serves as a project coordinator as needed

  • aggregates data and determines appropriate method of representation to communicate meaning of data

  • performs layout and design of reports or charts as necessary

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in health-related field, health science or business
2 years' hospital or healthcare industry experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Patient safety and/or quality management experience

VIEW JOBS 9/13/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-12T00:00 JOB SUMMARY: The Training Support Specialist is responsible for coordinating shipping, patient training, and compliant documentation for Respiratory Health Devices used in the home setting. The Training Support Specialist is the primary in-office point of contact for all Clinical Patient Trainers. The Auditing aspect of this role requires review of reports related to tasks that support the business operations of Respiratory Health. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Coordinate assignment of trainings in a timely manner with consideration for patient specific requirements including hospital discharge and priority order needs. * Communicate with Clinical Patient Trainers to ensure all trainings and related documentation are complete and executed within timelines determined at the time of shipment. * Ensure contractual agreements are met with all trainers that are utilized * Review training paperwork for completeness and accuracy and data enter key elements from training paperwork into TIMS and email Healthcare Form to the Account Executives * Complete all document imaging and database requirements for each contracted trainer * Utilize database to monitor trainers, trainings, and training paperwork * Work in conjunction with other teams to assure necessary actions are taken regarding patient needs identified at training, complaints, inventory changes, and other collaboration as identified by leadership. * Administrative tasks and projects as assigned * Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: * HS Diploma or equivalent * Experience with DME or health care industries preferred * Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills * Strong attention to detail * Ability to work independently and as a member of a team * Exhibits flexibility and ability to prioritize under deadlines * Strong critical thinking skills * Medical terminology preferred * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software * Experience with TIMS, JDE and Imaging Systems * Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Hill-Rom Saint Paul MN
