The Patient Financial Services department is seeking a Patient Revenue, Group Leader for their radiology, chemotherapy authorizations and copay assistance teams. This is a unique opportunity to lead authorization activities across multiple teams and in collaboration with clinicians across the institution.

Assist the Supervisor in the day-to-day activities necessary to complete benefits verifications and prior authorizations.
Take a lead role in staff training/development, operational support, and data collection/analysis.
Advise authorizations specialists, responds to patients' inquiries and meets departmental deadlines.
Depending on departmental needs, verify benefits and complete authorizations.
Monitor benefits verification and prior authorization operations volume; adjust daily workload to maximize productivity and meet departmental deadlines.
Assess program performance in relation to established goals, recommending new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvement.
Respond to requests from other departments. Notify supervisor of any escalated issues including but not limited to patient and staff inquiries, department productivity and system issues.
Take all steps necessary to ensure completion of all work to meet departmental deadlines.
Train new employees on procedures, provides training on changes in procedures and systems and responds to questions from staff members in the department.
Complete Continuous Quality Improvement audits and productivity reports.
Performs most functions in the Supervisor's absence.
High School Diploma / GED is required; Bachelor's Degree is preferred
At least 2-4 years of experience in healthcare is required; experience in obtaining authorizations or in a patient accounts, physician billing, collection role at a medical facility is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with significant experience in working with Excel
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work independently
Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
Ability to resolve difficult interactions and produce accurate work, exhibiting good judgment under pressure
