SUMMARY#OF RESPONSIBILITY - Job Summary (general statement of purpose or objective of position) Under the close direction of the Patient Access Manager, the Patient Access Coordinator ensures timely and accurate registration of all patients. Creates a positive impression and maintains good customer service principles for each patient, family member, visitor or staff while routing patients, family or visitors.

Performs all duties in a manner that promotes the team concept and reflects the goals, values, mission and philosophy of Baptist Health System. This is a highly visible and responsible position in the health system MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Knowledge, skills, abilities, license, registration, certification, education, and experience EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE: One (1) year hospital registration, medical office, insurance company, or related field required. CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, BONDING:

None PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Primarily works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned environment, but occasionally will be required to visit employer sites with extremes in heat or cold.

May be required to sit for long periods of time but occasional walking/standing is required.

Minimal lifting may be required on an infrequent basis. Local travel may be required to employer, physician clinic sites, and area hospitals.
