ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating 40 hour work week, Monday
Friday, 8:00 am
5:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities include the following: operating a switchboard; answering telephone calls daily for an 8-hour work day, and taking complaints from the general public; making telephone calls; greeting customers/patients; providing information to individuals inquiring about services offered by the Health District; taking messages; arranging, scheduling, and coordinating meetings; performing general office duties; maintaining files and records; distributing correspondence and documents; sorting and distributing incoming mail; keeping records; preparing outgoing packages and mail; typing documents and letters; maintaining, monitoring, and ordering office supplies and filing orders; checking invoices and making deposits; serving as back-up for other support personnel; and performing other similar duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Position requires a High School diploma or GED with some (up to one year) related experience is preferred. Ability to use a personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite software is required. Excellent customer service and communication skills are necessary.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.
