The Patient Navigator's role is to fluidly navigate the patient through their visits. Provide day-to-day coordination and communication for patients receiving care at our Radiation Oncology locations. The role is designed to be the key point of contact for each patient. Once a patient is scheduled, the patient navigator will begin working with the patient to help them to understand next steps. The navigator position will utilize organization and physician practice expertise to obtain and ensure the patient arrives to the practice with all the required information. It is important to facilitate effective communication on all levels through tactful and professional interaction. The Navigator is also responsible for communications to the patient around insurance authorizations and the approval process. This is a pro-active role where the Patient Navigator must manage the process.
Salary: $28.23 - $40.44 hourly

Ability to recognize and deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential issues
Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues
Preferred:
Ability to work efficiently when faced with frequent interruptions to utilize CareConnect to register, encounter, arrive patients and to retrieve patient records
Knowledge of University structure and policies sufficient to serve as a resource for questions, referrals and documentation
