Providence is calling a Full Time Day Shift Patient Liaison Admin Assistant to our Providence Facey Medical Foundation in Mission Hills, CA.

In this position you will:

  • Document patient concerns and resolves issues as appropriate.

  • Processes complaints following patient complaint policy and procedure guidelines.

  • Provides a variety of skilled administrative assistant and receptionist duties.

  • Type and assist with composing correspondence, reports, records and other documents.

  • Answer and screen phone calls and processes mail.

  • Establish and maintains efficient filing systems.

  • Assist in department projects as directed.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Ability to communicate/interface effectively both verbally and written at all levels with external and internal customers.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills required.

  • Must have initiative and use proper judgment with minimal supervision.

  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.

  • Must have excellent knowledge of Word and Excel, ability to type 30-35 wpm and use a 10-key calculator by sight or touch.

  • Power Point is a plus.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent educ/experience.

  • 3 years in administrative assistant experience.

  • Healthcare background.

We are seeking a LVN Resource Nurse who will provide direct, professional nursing care to patients who present urgent, emergency or potential health problems utilizing basic nursing principles. Serve as a role model for Medical Assistants by providing leadership, which fosters positive attitudes and change, as well as supports management policies and procedures. Help train and acts as a resource for Medical Assistants. In this position you will have the following responsibilities: * Deliver upon the service expectations of both our patients and fellow staff members by listening to their needs; engaging in positive interactions; and following through on promises made in a thoughtful, efficient, timely and courteous manner so that their total outcome is better than expected * Respect the dignity, confidentiality and privacy of patients * Work in a safe manner, adhering to general safety precautions and standards. Report any unsafe conditions to their supervisor and/or the safety hotline * Lead Medical Assistants in day-to-day responsibilities; trains new caregivers; trains caregivers in new processes; and provides input into annual performance reviews * Basic patient care skills - vitals, BP, history taking, IM/Sub Q injections, EKG, treadmill, catheterization, PTSs, Accu check, sterile technique procedure set-ups, assist in minor surgeries, pulse oximetry, phlebotomy, autoclaving, controlled substance count * Administer routine immunizations, therapeutic injections and skin tests. Documents appropriately * Assist with emergencies as needed * Establishe IV lines and monitors IV therapy of standard solutions * Provide accurate, complete, legible and timely documentation of all nursing procedures in the medical record * Communicate clinically significant information to the physician, including but not limited to, abnormal test results, patient concerns and changes in the patient's condition * Take patient phone calls and asks clinically appropriate questions. Communicates this information to the physician and follows up according to his direction * Follow correct procedures for handling and disposing of biohazardous infectious waste * Perform daily and weekly environmental cleaning and equipment quality control and maintenance * Order and maintains current inventories of medication and supplies * Check for outdated medication on a monthly basis * Comply with all applicable infection control and safety procedures * Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal direction adjusting to changes in workload * Demonstrate effective nursing judgment * Demonstrate the ability to prioritize patient care appropriately * Assist the Patient Care Supervisors with daily staffing needs * Keep the Site Director informed of activities and needs at the site * Demonstrate awareness of current state, federal and local laws governing the delivery of care: * Use appropriate reporting mechanisms as required by state laws * Respect the dignity, confidentiality and privacy of patients * Obtain appropriate authorizations and consents for treatment * Provide open and timely communication with patients, families and their significant others: * Provide sufficient information to allow patients and their significant others to participate in the patient's care * Provide educational resources to the patient/family as appropriate * Demonstrate commitment to education and sharing of knowledge: * Assist in the orientation of new personnel to the office * Obtain ongoing education consistent with level and area of practice * Maintain current American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers and other appropriate licensure / certifications * Participates in Quality Improvement audits.
