Job Summary

Job Summary:

Working as the Patient Flow Manager, you will be responsible for the effective leadership of a team of Patient Flow Coordinators and Transporters within a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibits the ability to understand and apply knowledge of basic patient transport concepts, infection control practices, and proper body mechanics

  • Understands and is able to determine, explain, and develop dispatcher logic and transporter activities; monitors and supervises dispatcher activity

  • Assists in coordination of Patient Transportation activities and services with other departments; develops service agreements as appropriate

  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies including but not limited to Federal, State, JCAHO, OSHA, and CDC

  • Orients, trains, and develops all levels of personnel such as; dispatchers, trainers, transporters, couriers, drivers, and elevator operators

  • Maintains a teamwork environment of highly motivated associates

  • Assists unit director in achieving financial objectives; ensures department operates within budget; assists controlling departmental expenses

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two-year college degree or equal-related experience preferred; high school diploma/GED required

  • Management experience in hospital environment and/or patient transportation highly desired

  • Effective organizational and time management skills

  • Analytical ability to interpret statistical data and to distinguish trends and other factors that impact operational activity

  • Excellent judgment skills for problem solving of performance of associates', the coordination of hospital activities, and enforcement of policies in stressful situations

  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary; ability to interact with a wide range of staff and hospital personnel in a professional manner; customer service skills must be strong, genuine and noticeable

  • Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills

  • Basic computer skills utilizing a Windows-based Operating System: ability to troubleshoot system problems related to computer or software systems and initiate internal or external resolution to system issues

  • Must be open to working a varied/flexible schedule

People * Lead, mentor and motivate the team regarding all aspects of leadership, visual execution and expectations through: o Consistent and continual feedback and accountability o Promoting a sense of ownership and delegation o Team involvement and strategic planning o Morning and all store staff meetings * Manage and motivate a high level of Customer Care utilizing all resources and initiatives * Lead by example to set bar for employee productivity * Serve as a proactive mentor, teacher and problem solver for sales team * Assist management team by training and coaching staff on Inventory Control expectations and responsibilities * Attract and recruit product flow team and ensure that development plans are in place and followed * Effectively communicate and build partnerships with Store Team, DBL, Home Office, Inventory Control and Distribution Center * Develop and enhance the selling culture within the store Process * Oversee product receipt process and ensure prompt completion & turnaround (processed & placed within 24 hours) * Adhere to and support Typical Week structure by facilitating scheduling and zoning needs in partnership with management team * Track and communicate all in-transit shipment information to management, plan accordingly * Maintain an efficient and well-organized stock room. Implement methods and systems to house product for easy access by all staff * Ensure product tagging follows company guidelines * Drive the restock process in partnership with management to maintain stock levels and sell-through awareness * Oversee all UPS deliveries/shipments, charge sends, transfers and PPS * Maintain all receiving paperwork controls and organization * Facilitate supply ordering in partnership with management team * Assist in 4-wall maintenance; cleaning and facilities * Communicate ticketing issues/discrepancies to appropriate Home Office partners * Uphold inventory control standards when executing cycle counts, markdowns and transfers * Maintain a high level of SKU and stock integrity * Support the MOD during peak store hours * Adhere to all company safety guidelines & uphold all company policies & procedures * Must be able to lift & carry heavy boxes (up to 30 lbs) Presentation * Partner with the Management team to coordinate and facilitate shipment placement and maintain standards throughout the store * Understand and demonstrate familiarity with velocity product and expedite the replenishment of top-selling items * Support sales by assisting in merchandising and display projects as needed Sound like a good fit?
