Job Summary and Qualifications

The Patient Experience Specialist collaborates with facility leaders and clinical nurse educators to assure Service Excellence execution also incorporates family members and physician involvement. The Patient Experience Specialist must be comfortable as an educator, analyst, consultant, role model and unwavering advocate for service excellence. All focused on helping drive exceptional care and a superior patient experience

What you will do in this role:

Demonstrate knowledge and expertise related to Service Excellence to support Service Excellence best practices are properly integrated.

Demonstrate exceptional Service Excellence in communication with new hires, existing staff, physicians, patients and families.

Evaluate current competency and facility standards through site visits and staff/leader interviews to support development of service excellence strategies on assigned unit(s).

Track patient satisfaction score trends and provide data to facility leaders and ACE Director.

Specific focus on overall score; "communication with nurses" domain and question "nurses explain things."

Collaborate with facility leaders to identify opportunities, strategies and coaching plans for preceptors and nursing staff to improve scores.

What qualifications you will need:

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years of healthcare experience

• Associate Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field

PREFERRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Minimum 1-3 years leadership experience

Texas RN license or CPPS

Training facilitation experience

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)
