The Patient Engagement Specialists play a critical role in reaching out to potential customers, explaining the benefits of our program and approach, and scheduling the initial in-home clinical visit with the customer and, where applicable, their family and caregiver(s).

Engaging outreach to patients and caregivers to enroll in program.

Drawing on material, have an effective conversation with patient/caregiver, while maintaining team goals and objectives.

Identify customer/family/care giver needs and provide comprehensive information regarding the scope of services provided and the inherent benefits of the Prospero Health program.

Build trusting and sustainable relationships and engage customers/family/care giver by taking ownership of all issues.

Keep records of all conversations in our care center system in a comprehensible manner.

Display compassion and empathy in all customer/family/care giver interactions.

Attend/participate in educational/training activities to improve knowledge and performance level.

Meet individual and team qualitative and quantitative targets.

Other administrative duties, as required.

Requirements

1+ year of experience in a Customer Service/Support related role

Previous professional experience in a Care Support role (preferred)

Knowledge of Medical Terminology (preferred)

Proficient in MS Office Suite

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

College Degree or equivalent work experience

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred

Operating in more than 2,300 schools in the most challenged communities of 25 states and the District of Columbia, Communities In Schools serves 1.5 million young people and their families each year. Based directly inside schools, Communities In Schools connects students and their families to basic and critical educational and community-based resources, tailored to each student’s specific needs. </p> <p>CIS of Memphis began as an embedded affiliate in the Communities In Schools of Tennessee network in 2014. CIS of Memphis is now an independent affiliate operating exclusively in the greater Memphis area and focusing specifically on addressing the needs of local students and schools. We believe that every child, regardless of their ZIP code or family circumstance, deserves a chance to live the life of their dreams. We work to help secure that chance for children in Memphis and surrounding counties in West Tennessee. </p> <p>A contract would run approximately from November 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022 with possibility for renewal for FY23 (7/1/22 – 6/30/23). CIS of Memphis seeks a strong lobbyist with sound knowledge of budgetary issues, human services and education policy, a clear understanding of the legislative process, and effective communication skills.</p> <strong>Scope of Services:</strong> <p>CIS of Memphis seeks to retain the services of a lobbyist to work with the CEO to address matters in which CIS of Memphis needs professional assistance before the Shelby County Commissioners, Memphis City Council, State Legislature, individual State Legislators, the Governor of Tennessee (and other state agencies) and Federal Legislators. Lobbying services will include (but are not limited to) the following:</p> <p><em>Strategy</em></p> <ul> <li>Assist CIS of Memphis in the development and implementation of its legislative agenda, key proposals and policy positions;</li> <li>Propose an annual strategic advocacy and political engagement plan designed to achieve legislative goals and support business objectives; and,</li> <li>Develop a plan for off session activities and coordinate with CIS of Memphis’ Office staff.</li> <li>Identify, track and report on state legislation and legislative proposals that may have an impact on CISM;</li> <li>Report activities at a minimum through the following:<ul> <li>Telephone or weekly updates on pending issues as they arise;</li> <li>A brief weekly written status report during the Legislative Session; and </li> <li>A final written report and in-person presentation at the end of Legislative Session.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Organize state lobby registration, compliance and reporting. </li> <li>Support the organization with a strong presence locally and in the Capitol as the “eyes and ears” of CISM and serving as day-to-day contact for legislators and other lobbyists on behalf of CIS of Memphis;</li> <li>Work to achieve CIS of Memphis’ goals on legislation, issues or rules by lobbying members of the City, County, and State Legislature, legislative staff and state government officials;</li> <li>Track and attend committee and rulemaking hearings, coordinate and assist in the preparation of testimony, submissions, and in-person testimony; and,</li> <li>Attend and participate in interim hearings and meetings regarding issues important to CIS of Memphis.</li> <li>Assist in the development of relationships with key City, County, and State legislators, regulatory agencies, state agencies, local governments and community organizations, consistent with the annual strategic advocacy and political engagement plan; and, </li> <li>Develop strong connections with other agencies and state membership organizations to support mutual goals as identified.</li> </ul> <p><em>Tracking and reporting</em></p> <ul> <li>Identify, track and report on state legislation and legislative proposals that may have an impact on CISM;</li> <li>Report activities at a minimum through the following:<ul> <li>Telephone or weekly updates on pending issues as they arise;</li> <li>A brief weekly written status report during the Legislative Session; and, </li> <li>Develop strong connections with other agencies and state membership organizations to support mutual goals as identified.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Proposals:</strong></p><p>All proposals should include the following information:</p><ul> <li>Letter of Interest;</li> <li>Names of the individual(s) who will be working on the project and their areas of responsibility, including the individual(s) responsible for managing the state office relationship and communication, administering the contract, and lobbying on the agency’s behalf;</li> <li>Experience and qualification of the individuals named above, highlighting their capacity to perform the related functions as outlined in this proposal;</li> <li>A list of at least three clients for whom you have lobbied within the past five years and an example of a success achieved with them.
