Provides diabetes and nutrition education to patients, staff, and the community. Develops and provides individualized diabetes and nutrition education to patients and their families/caregivers.
Assesses patient understanding and cooperation with integrating nutritional planning into the patient's lifestyle. Modifies plans to promote success. Collaborates with the healthcare team to integrate nutrition therapy into the management of diabetic patients care.
Develops and implements educational activities for staff and the community. AA/EOE
Bachelors degree in nursing.
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN).
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
