We are searching for a Patient Collection Representative to join our corporate team in Altamonte Springs!


  • Provide assistance, support and direction to Florida Cancer Specialist (FCS) patients via incoming and outbound calls regarding self-pay balances due.

  • Review assigned portion of patient accounts receivable to determine if assistance can be provided and/or next steps needed based on standard operating procedures.

  • Post patient payments and adjustments as required based on standard operating procedure.

  • Explanation of Benefits (EOB)Knowledge desired.


  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Six (6) months of medical experience preferred.

  • One (1) year of customer service and accounts receivable experience.

  • Experience with Word, Excel, organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsible to manage all incoming documents, creation of new patient records and distribution of documentation to appropriate departments. SCOPE OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees all intake document assignments; including faxes and electronic documentation to ensure accurate patient records. Acts proactively to ensure smooth operations and effective departmental collaboration Participate in all aspects of pharmacy clinical supportive functions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Perform intake of initial patient referrals received including but not limited to collection and data entry of patient demographic information, medical information, therapy information, insurance/financial information * Create new patient accounts within appropriate systems in a timely manner. Ensuring all team members meet 2 hour metrics. * Files incoming documents accurately in corresponding patient chart. * Monitoring incoming emails and serving as a liaison between all departments within company. * Follow Current Referral Intake Process Flow.
