Austin Gastroenterology is a 40-year-old practice with more than 35 physicians and 30 advanced practice providers located in 17 locations throughout the greater Austin area. We service areas in Austin, Kyle, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Bee Cave, Georgetown, and many more. Austin Gastro is proud to be partnered with GI Alliance. Just like our city, Austin Gastro is growing. We are always looking for physicians, advanced practice providers, related GI specialists, clinical and administrative staff members to join our team.

We are currently looking to add a full-time Patient Check-In attendant to our Marble Falls location. Travel to sister locations may rarely be required depending on coverage needs.

Main Job Functions

• Check-in patients upon arrival at the office as well as check-out upon departure.

• Obtain accurate information from patients and ensure all registration forms are complete.

• Collect patient and insurance payments and reconcile charges on a daily basis.

• Verify account balances and refunds for accuracy. Provide information to patients regarding unpaid balances.

• File records in appropriate sections of patient charts in EMR.

• Prepare patient charts in advance and scan documents into charts in EMR.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience: Minimum of one year's experience preferred in a customer-related field. Healthcare experience is preferred.

• Performance Requirements:

• Knowledge of computer programs and applications.

• Knowledge of basic arithmetic to make calculations, balance and reconcile figures, and make changes accurately.

• Skill in operating office equipment

• Skill in handling paperwork/filing adequately.

• Skill in handling incoming phone calls and triaging appropriately.

• Skill in written and verbal communication.

• Ability to learn/use other computer programs including Microsoft Excel, e-mail, Internet, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

• Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric systems.

• Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands.

• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.

Schedule

Monday- Friday 8am- 5pm, day shift, onsite.
