What You Will Do
The Post-Operative Acute Care unit is a 34-bed general surgical unit specializing in GI tract surgeries including bariatric, colorectal, pancreatic & related procedures. Your team will be taking vitals manually, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's), dressing care, answering call lights,ordering supplies and such.
You should have good time management skills and have an uplifting personality to assist patients and provide excellent customer service. As an Associate with Saint Thomas Health Svcs-TN, you will have the opportunity to perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in the assigned area.
Aid with entry and exit of patients.
Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living (ADL's) such as bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting
Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records.
Responsible for keeping patient rooms clean and orderly as well as maintaining medical equipment
What You Will Need
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
High school diploma or GED required
