Responsibilities

Emergency Department Technicians work alongside doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare environments. The Emergency Department Technician plays a vital role in the healthcare delivery setting through improving patient satisfaction by influencing patient throughout.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Minimum 6 months in an acute care hospital setting

• Maintain American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification

Preferred Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Patient care or EKG and phlebotomy certificate

• Prior experience in performing EKG and phlebotomy procedures

• Cardiac Credentialing International Certification

• EKG and Phlebotomy certifications/certificates
