Position Summary Performs patient care assistant responsibilities for patients as part of the nursing team. Performs collection of blood specimens and records Electrical impulses of the heart as ordered by a physician.
Assists with general office/clerical functions on nursing units. Previous hospital experience as a nursing assistant or physician office experience. Preferred: Phlebotomy experience. License, Registry or Certification:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required or prior experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting. American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification is required. Crisis prevention Training (CPI) is required and must be renewed annually.
