Full-Time

POSITION PURPOSE

Under supervision of the RN/LPN, this role provides routine patient care in accordance with Tennova Healthcare

  • Cleveland established policy and procedures. Delivers care based on patients' needs appropriate to age and developmental level for the pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patient.

    Demonstrates cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel. Assists patients in dressing or undressing, bathing, or eating. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens or gathers vital signs but does not start or administer intravenous fluids. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed.

Responsible for providing clerical support for all employees within the assigned nursing unit. Maintains and updates patients' records for the unit.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Minimum high school graduate or G.E.D. required.

Diploma or transcripts required upon hire.

Experience:

One-year experience as nursing assistant preferred. One-year patient care experience preferred.

Licenses/Certificates:

Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred or enrolled in accredited nursing program preferred. BLS certification required within six months of hire.

General Responsibilities:

Responsible to the patient to provide the highest quality nursing care possible.

Assist LPN's and staff RN's deliver patient care.

Responsible to promote cooperative working relationships both on the assigned unit and with other hospital departments.

Participate in performance improvement activities.

Provides clerical support to the assigned department.

Maintains and updates patient records per policy.
