We are a technologically advanced facility with surgical suites that promote minimally-invasive techniques for cardiac, vascular, bariatric and general surgery.ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of a licensed clinical staff member, the Patient Care Tech 2 (PCT2) provides basic patient care, clerical support and heart rhythm monitoring using defined procedures and standards in accordance with the goals of the unit and the philosophy of Community Medical Centers (CMC). Performs and assists with elemental aspects of patient care such as nutrition, bed scale weights, intake/output (I/O), taking vital signs, monitoring heart rhythm patterns, etc. in coordination with the patient care team. Assists licensed clinical staff as needed with direct patient care and provides administrative and office management support to the unit(s). Serves as a centralized focus of administration, information and communication.QualificationsEducation * High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required * Successful completion of one of the following is required*

Obtain a diploma/certificate from an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program * Obtain a diploma/certificate from an accredited Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program * Obtain a diploma/certificate from an accredited Paramedic program * Nursing Fundamental courses from an accredited clinical RN or LVN program (typically done in the 1st semester)* Successful completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Recognition or ECG/EKG interpretation course requiredExperience* 1 year of relevant healthcare experience required* 2 years of experience in an acute care hospital preferredLicenses and Certifications* BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required * One of the following is required*
