Position Purpose:

Contact all new patients and introduce services and products.

Maintain patient records and contact patients to ensure proper medication is ordered.

Determine patient supply needs and review medication inventory.

Maintain statements and informs patients of co-pays and past due amounts.

Process payments in the form of credit card transactions.

Schedule delivery of medication after all patient needs are addressed.

Document all related communications with pharmacy personnel, patients, physicians, nursing agencies and other related individuals.

Handle inbound and outbound calls, including the processing and upkeep of pharmacy orders and handling of order inquiries and issues

Knowledge/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. 2 years of pharmacy technician, call center or customer service experience. Strong customer service skills. Healthcare and/or specialty pharmacy experience preferred.

Primary Responsibilities: * Facilitate and manage referrals that are triaged to outside nursing and new orders to outside nursing agencies * Staff referrals that need to be triaged to outside nursing agencies - work closely with Sales staff, Intake and Case Managers to facilitate * Assist to confirm visits daily * Assist to prepare VA information as requested via fax from the VA * Assist to manage lab supply inventory * Assist to send car stock to nurses * Assist to complete nursing discharges * Cross train and follow up on POT's returned and follow up when not returned * Assist with On Call Nursing with RN to learn the POT creations process * Learn to fax, receive, track Calendar as needed * Assist with chart reviews for PI as needed * Assist to manage tasks in CareLink 2.0 related to Nursing for all patients * Assist nursing staff to complete Acute Reviews as needed You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: * High School Diploma / GED (or higher) * Experience with Microsoft Outlook (answering emails and sending emails), Microsoft Word (creating, editing , saving) and Microsoft Excel (creating, editing, running reports) * 6 Months of previous healthcare industry experience * Must be available to work a set 8 hour shift between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm or 9:00am and 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required. Overtime can be before, after, or on a different day than the regularly scheduled shift.
