Patient Care Coordinator

Large managed care company is looking for Patient Care Coordinators to help answering phones, maintaining files, scheduling appointments, producing correspondence, as well as spreadsheets and presentations.

WORK LOCATION: 420 34th Street Bakersfield, CA 93301PAY: $22.00

CONTRACT DATES: ASAP to 9/30/24

HOURS: 10 hr shifts/40hrs a week. Weekends, holidays, and hours vary. Example we have four evening shifts 11a, 1p, 3p, and 5p.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Register and Pre Register patients
• Verifies Insurance eligibility, benefits and authorizations
• Verify patient demographics
• Collect co-pay, co-insurance, and deductibles.
• Provides excellent customer service

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of experience working in a hospital Patient Registration department, physician office setting, healthcare insurance company, revenue cycle vendor, and/or other revenue cycle related roles
• Type 45 wpm 10 key by touch
• Insurance knowledge of all payers HMO, PPO, government
• Ability to work in MS Excel
• Good customer service skills
