Patient Care Associate - Medical Unit- White 9
Why This Role Is Important?
White 9 is a twenty-five-bed acute care medical unit. A majority of patients are admitted directly from the Emergency Department and have single or multi-system problems including, but not exclusively, alterations in gas exchange, airway clearance, cardiac function, renal function, nutrition, hepatic function, skin integrity and mental states. Under the direction of a registered nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA) assists the multi-disciplinary health care team in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.

Required: Must have recent experience, and/or training, in clinical patient care.
Preferred: Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire, OR
Candidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, PA undergraduate program, with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed, at time of hire.
