The Ohio State University Medical Center's mission is focused on integrating quality patient care, education, and research; the Patient Care Associate (PCA) functions as an integral member of a team of health care providers who reflect a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect; provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes.The PCA provides a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities as supervised and directed by department Manager and registered nurse; assists patient care team in meeting patient care needs, transportation, and environmental service activities; identifies opportunities for improvement in patient care and organizational processes; participates in performance improvement activities
Required Qualifications High School Graduate or GED certificate required; one year of hospital experience; successful completion of PCA, Transporter and Telemetry training course required.
