The Opportunity: Patient Care Associate - Orthopaedic and Urology Unit- Ellison 6
Why This Role Is Important?
Ellison 6 is a 35-bed unit with the clinical specialty being orthopaedics and urology. The population of patients includes total joint replacements, trauma, and orthopaedic oncology. Under the direction of a registered nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA) assists the multi-disciplinary health care team in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment. Ellison 6 is seeking a Part-time PCA, with Day, and Night availability, and to provide rotating weekend and holiday coverage.

Schedule
Day (7a-3p, 7a-7p), Evenings (3-11pm) and Night (11p-7a,7p-7a), shifts
20-24 hours per week
Rotational holiday and weekend schedule

Required: Must have recent experience, and/or training, in clinical patient care.
Preferred: Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire, OR
Candidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, PA undergraduate program, with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed, at time of hire.
