ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating 40 hour work week, Monday
Friday, 8:00 am
5:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities
Under general supervision conduct a variety of technical tasks including but not limited to research for development of plans and studies. Review building and site plans, zoning and plat applications. Research property locations value, zoning, and any other necessary information. Collect and verify ownership and other pertinent information relating to platting and zoning. Prepare presentations for staff, other departments and the general public. Conduct zoning and plat review of commercial and residential building permits as part of the overall building permit process. Help in the preparation of zoning reports and plats for planning commission and city council preparations. Assist customers with over the counter permits. Assist customers with intake of projects, plats and rezoning applications. Provide assistance and support to project managers and other land development staff in the project and platting process. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Position requires an Associate's Degree in Architecture, Construction, Engineering, Drafting or related field and two (2) years of technical experience and/or public contact duties, preferably related to planning or equivalent field. A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered. A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Basis of Rating
Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.
