We are seeking a#Patient Care#Assistant to: Join our world-class team of doctors, nurses and other health care professionals in providing everything from preventive health care to highly specialized programs. Provide quality care in a compassionate patient- and family- centered environment.

Assist in the delivery of health care services and patient care support. Prepare patients for examination, treatment and procedures and perform selected patient care duties following department procedures under the supervision of Clinic Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or Physician. Order, maintain and replenish exam and treatment rooms with medical and office supplies, instruments, equipment and pharmacological items, maintaining a neat and clean environment.

Perform general receptionist and clerical duties for department. Experience/

Skills:
Previous patient care experience in a medical facility preferred.

Minimum of one year experience working as a CNA in a clinic setting preferred. Good interpersonal, organizational and critical decision-making skills required. Ability to clearly communicate in English both verbally and in writing.

Computer experience required. Basic arithmetic skills required. Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required.

Licenses and Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant or Patient Care#Technician preferred. Annual CPR certification required.

In doing so, greets and talks with patients, family members and visitors, assists them with information/services during their stay and performs duties/tasks related to acceptance/transfer of patients on unit, registration of transfered patients, schedules outpatient appointments, examinations or tests, and the like. May run errands for the unit. The following are general characteristics of this job, although duties may vary slightly by assigned unit or shift. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Work requires ability to read, write and communicate effectively at a level generally acquired through completion of a high school education. Work requires up to three weeks on-the-job training and successful completion of the training program in order to learn department/unit policies, procedures and work routines; become familiar with medical terminology; learn use of computer system; and become familiar with locations of various departments throughout the Medical Center. Work requires excpetional customer service and hospitality skills. Work requires the interpersonal skills necessary to greet and provide information to visitors, answer department telephones, and communicate effectively with other members of the Patient Care Team. Work requires analytical ability necessary to prioritize own work load to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Exceptional courtesy, tact, and liaison skills necessary in order to interact with patients, families and visitors.
