Education and Experience CNA 1 is required, CNA 2 preferred PCA will achieve competency in four (4) additional skills will be trained as / if needed: I.V fluid # assistive activities Set up tubing # with flush fluids only, monitor flowrates Site care / dressing change as needed Discontinue peripheral IV infusions and catheter Urinary catheters and external catheters Insertion (with a wing man) and application Removal Wound Care wounds must be greater than 48 hours sterile dressing change wound irrigation Care Transformed. This model allows each clinician to practice at the top of their scope while providing opportunity for professional growth and development. 1st surgical is a 27-bed general surgical unit which provides patient focused care to a general surgical population with a emphasis on the bariatric surgical patients. Early recovery after surgery is a critical part of the care delivery here
