Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada has an exciting opportunity for a Patient Benefits Representative at our Horizon Ridge clinic in the Henderson, Nevada area. In this role, you will work with some of the best physicians in their fields while providing care to patients in a successful health care organization. The essential functions for the Patient Benefits Representative include the following:

  • Educates patient on insurance coverage, benefits, co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses

  • May educate patients on financial assistance programs as well as identify sources and provide assistance with completing forms

  • Monitors patient account balances and notifies front desk of which patients should meet with you

  • Accurately documents and/or communicates balances due for appropriate collection by front desk staff

  • Verifies and updates demographics and insurance coverage in computer system

  • Stays current on available financial aide by developing professional relationships with financial aide providers and networking with financial aide providers to obtain leads to other aide programs

  • Adheres to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPPA laws and guidelines with regard to patient records

The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum three (3) years patient pre-services coordinator or equivalent required

  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) required

  • Demonstrates knowledge of CPT coding and HCPS coding application

  • Must be able to verbally communicate clearly and utilize the appropriate and correct terminology

Career Opportunity: Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse at our Horizon Ridge location in Henderson, Nevada. The essential functions for the Registered Nurse, Medical Oncology – Chemotherapy include the following: * Performs venipuncture, accesses implanted ports and maintains central lines catheter devices. * Administers chemotherapy, hydration and other medications and may assist physician with exams and procedures. * Assesses patients for changes in condition, including but not limited to abnormal labs, x-rays, scans, drug reactions and initiates appropriate action. * Facilitates dose modification by assessing patient, assessing labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications, problems, and symptom management. * Provides nursing coverage for the satellite offices as needed. * Follows OSHA guidelines when handling cytotoxic agents, biohazardous waste and any other material potentially infected with a blood borne pathogen. * Participates in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations. * Maintains patient confidentiality. The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience: * Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred. * Minimum 1 year experience preferred * Will consider highly motivated new grads for our New Grad Orientation Program. * Current or pending Oncology certification preferred. * Experience and knowledge of the purpose and use of medications in the treatment of cancer is preferred. * Current RN licensure in State of Nevada. * Current CPR certification required.
