JOB DESCRIPTION The Patient Benefits Advocate works withing the Benefits Management Business Unit and is the key stakeholder for verifying insurance coverage for potential new patients (both switch-out and new referrals). This position works Prior Authorization requests and verification rechecks. The successful person will meet or exceed daily/weekly goals and carry out Inogen's values.
Our Billing team is focused on continuous improvement so we welcome deep thinkers who analyze the root cause and recommend corrective action.

Excellent customer service skills, analytical and problem solving skills, close attention to detail
A complete understanding of Medicare and Private insurance program rules is preferred
Experience in a successful verification of all Medical Insurances is preferred
Experience in operating appropriate computer hardware and billing software is preferred
Bachelor degree preferred
3 years of experience in Oxygen or HME billing
3 years of experience in working with Hospice organizations and full working knowledge of Oxygen Medical documentation requirements
Experience with Oracle preferred
