Patient Authorization And Referral Representative

The Referral Coordinator is responsible for assuring a comprehensive process, updated data base and the integrity of the referral process for patients to assigned physicians and specific services. The Referral Coordinator will establish and maintain an updated overview of cancer resources.

Coordinate referral calls received. Provide information and direct calls as appropriate. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base to process calls for referrals and scheduling, general cancer disease site, and cancer treatment information.

Required Qualifications:

• 2 years Work experience in an oncology, genetic, or hospital based clinical setting.

• Experience dealing with confidential information and knowledge of privacy laws.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree
