  • First point of contact, greeting patients to welcome them into the center to provide a positive experience.

  • Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries and making outbound calls to patients.

  • Responsible for scheduling appointments and entering appointments into scheduler.

  • Organize and maintain patient charts, including generating chart numbers, filing, and retrieving charts.

  • Register patients by verifying patient's record is up-to-date and accurate.

  • Making appropriate changes in scheduling system and patient charts.

  • Verifying insurance information for surgical procedures.

  • Collecting and processing payments from patients and daily reconciliation of cash report.

  • Soliciting referrals from patients - creating excitement for sharing a positive experience for friends and family.

  • Organizing and maintaining patient charts.


  • Must be patient service focused with the ability to deliver high customer satisfaction.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills required, ability to develop relationship with patients to provide a positive experience.

  • Proficient with standard office equipment; multi-task comfortably; ability to work with a high degree of professionalism.

  • Experience with answering phones and multi-tasking.

  • Exemplary organizational skills; willingness to be cross-trained and fill in for other staff members.

You will lead a team supervising and coordinating the new patient referral and admissions process for the branch. You will be responsible for maintaining communication and workflow between the branch, Sales staff, referral sources and Insurance Verification team. Must have excellent written and verbal customer service skills and advanced computer skills in order to interact with key stakeholders and patients. As the Patient Intake Supervisor you will use your newly acquired healthcare training and/or current office management skills to make a difference in a patient's life by ensuring new patients are receiving excellent care when pursuing our services. You will gain exposure supporting a multitude of aspects in the healthcare field, such as nursing, pharmacy, warehouse, clinical support, and sales. Coram CVS/specialty infusion services is a national leader in the home infusion and enteral fields. You have an important, uniquely rewarding role putting your skills and experiences to work supporting a specialty pharmacy operation. Key responsibilities: * You will communicate with nursing agencies and health care professionals regarding patient care and treatment. * You will assist the Nurse Manager in coordinating teaching sessions for nurse clinicians. * You will resolve reimbursement issues with accounts, Sales Force, and Coram management. * You will interface with all department managers for understanding of new regulations and procedures. * You will ensure all employees adhere to company and departmental policies. * You will assist the reimbursement department by monitoring missing and expiring forms and reports. * You will manage all aspects of admissions personnel issues, such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, professional development, and termination. * Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
