The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Patient Accounts Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and technical duties related to managing patient accounts.
This position has three (3) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.
High School graduate; OR GED.
One (1) year of clerical experience working in health care organization or in a position that requires understanding and application of basic accounting principles is required.

Two (2) additional years of Patient Accounting or Coding experience is required.
Associate degree in Accounting, Health Care Financial Management or related field; OR equivalent combination of training, education and related experience; OR professional certification in Patient Accounting, Coding, Health Care Financial Management or related Health Care Revenue Cycle; OR demonstrated proficiency as a Patient Accounts Specialist II at SCF.
