Description

ASC Biller/Collector - responsible for single Specialty Surgery Center - billing/collections.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

A) Billing

• Completely understand and operate the A/R system

• Understand payor profiles and fee schedule

• Ability to accurately apply write-offs and adjustments

• Ability to apply CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS codes from operative reports

• Bill for services rendered (within 2 days from d-o-s)

• Generate monthly patient statements

• Coordinates with Medical Records clerk to ensure proper filing of op notes and pathology reports

B) Collections

• Minimize and collect delinquent accounts

• Responsible for understanding and responding to denials in a timely manner

• Follow-up on outstanding insurance claims

• Understand all aging reports

• Making financial arrangements with patients when appropriate

Other duties may be assigned by the immediate manager/supervisor and/or Administrator
