Job Summary The Patient Accounts Representative is responsible for accurately verifying, creating and maintaining patient accounts in the billing and other carrier computers, ensuring HIPAA rules and regulations are followed. The Patient Accounts Representative will assess patient and guarantor needs for financial or other assistance to facilitate payment for health related services. # CS-HHC#s Expectations of all Employees Adheres to all CS-HHC Policies and Procedures Conducts self in a manner that represents CS-HHC#s Values at all times Maintains a positive and respectful attitude with all work-related contacts Communicates regularly with supervisor about Departmental and CS-HHC concerns Consistently reports to work on time, prepared to perform the duties of the position Meets productivity standards and performs duties as workload necessitates # Essential Duties and Responsibilities Accurately verifies, creates and maintains patient accounts in the billing and other carrier computers Performs data entry as required Documents approved CS-HHC sliding scale fees in the billing system ensuring that the discount is correct Runs bills electronically and manually. Monitors all billing reports for accuracy and completion Performs collection and posts payments to accounts as required Responsible for following through on any denied claim using the established CS-HHC denial management practices Processes the daily insurance checks and cash payments accurately Accurately reconciles and# records receipts and daily balance logs from all CS-HHC sites Assists with CS-HHC provider credentialing as directed by Patient Accounts leadership Participates in the billing training for other CS-HHC staff members Performs all other duties as required # Qualifications


High School Diploma required with some Business courses or Medical Certificate preferred. Associate#s Degree in Human Services or General Business desired.


At least one (1) year of experience in collections, billing or financial analysis preferred. # Knowledge/Abilities:# Excellent computer skills and basic knowledge of insurance is required. Must be able to work effectively with all populations and exhibit good customer service skills when communicating in person or via telephone with patients. # Physical Demands/Working Conditions# The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. VIEW JOBS 7/8/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-10-06T00:00 <p>This Provider Account Representative is responsible for the full range of provider relations and sales for Vatica Health in the Rochester, NY and Upstate NY markets. This individual sells and provides account management for healthcare Practices and their respective providers for Vatica’s service offerings. These services include, but are not limited to, Enhanced Annual Wellness Visits and Chronic Care Management (CCM) encounters. Functions include securing contracts and statements of work with pre-determined healthcare practices and providers, “up-selling” Vatica services to existing practices in the geographic area and working closely with Vatica’s local operations and clinical team to optimize the company’s market presence. This individual may also interface with the local provider relationship personnel at Vatica’s Health Plan clients.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul> <li>Maintain and enhance ongoing sales coverage and communication for specified healthcare practices within assigned accounts.</li> <li>Building Vatica’s network of participating practices/ providers within this geographic area</li> <li>Prospecting and nominating other practices that may influence Vatica’s health plan sponsors in the area.</li> <li>Assist in the development of a preferred provider network to optimize Vatica’s encounters and revenue</li> <li>Analyze data related to practice/provider performance, to identify opportunities to increase number of participating providers (in existing practices) and new practices participating in Vatica’s programs</li> <li>Work closely with local and national operations and clinical team members to optimize Vatica revenue while satisfying local practices and appropriate health plan sponsors</li> <li>Complete other special projects and duties as requested</li> </ul><p>Engage physician practices by:</p><ul> <li>Telephone, face-to-face &amp; group meetings with assigned practice managers and providers</li> <li>Recommending appropriate marketing tactics to build awareness &amp; engage multiple accounts simultaneously</li> <li>Working closely with Vatica inside sales representatives re: appointment setting and sales follow up</li> <li>Supporting and driving local and regional marketing activity aimed at driving provider network adoption</li> <li>Creating and following up on peer to peer practice and physician referral opportunities to maximize Vatica’s Network Development</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Healthcare Industry Experience 1-2+ Years</li> <li>Sales Experience 2+ Years</li> <li>Experience with sales/network development as it relates to interfacing with Practice Managers and Primary Care Physicians</li> <li>Sales/Account Management experience in healthcare EMR, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device or Managed Care Services to independent healthcare providers</li> <li>Experience in CRM (Preferred)</li> <li>Experience working in a physician’s office or health plan (Preferred)</li> <li>Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Ability to work independently and remain on task.
